Experience & Background
Fredericksburg wedding videographer Mats Jerndal was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he lived as a young boy. He learned photography at an early age from his father. When Mats turned 18, he moved to Paris, France and began to fully pursue his interest in photography. These international experiences at an early age influenced his creative style and his passion for the art.
Since moving to the United States, Mats has been working as a commercial photographer and videographer. One of his real passions, though, is weddings. To have the opportunity to create a touchstone of such an important and monumental time in others’ lives is the ultimate in creative responsibility and requires the greatest expertise. And it’s a lot of fun!

You only get one chance to get it right with your wedding video. That’s why it’s important to hire a professional. Here’s our advice for how to get the best video that you can!
- Talk with your wedding videographer before the wedding. Your videographer will put together a shot list before your wedding. Make sure to tell them what shots are important for them to get for you. If you really want a certain part of your wedding captured or if you want us to make sure footage of certain guests (e.g., a beloved relative) are there for the cut, make sure to say so!
- Leave it to the professionals. One thing that a professional videographer does is provides you with the peace of mind that you can set it and forget it. Everything is going to be okay!
- Take care of yourself. Stay hydrated. Keep some snacks available. Take moments to step away and collect yourself. Remember to take a few deep breaths every so often. It’ll help you to look and feel your best.
- Dance like no one’s watching. Be your most authentic self. Allow a little extra freedom with what you’re feeling.
